For Alaska's Jobs and Families
Alaska’s 10th governor, Sean Parnell, is a husband and a father and knows the importance of jobs and family. Sean understands that Alaska and her people are complex and that taking care of Alaskans cannot be boiled down to just one issue. Sean knows that being a good leader sometimes requires taking swift, decisive action – but he also understands that being a good leader requires vision and planning for future generations of Alaskans. Parnell has the experience, the competence and the character Alaskans need now and into the future and he has a plan to get us there.
Parnell’s plan for Alaska's jobs and families:
- Natural Gas – We are making progress
- Oil Tax credits – Must mean jobs for Alaskans
- Fighting the Feds – Intervention to stop or stall Alaska’s Resource Development must end
- “Hammer-Ready” Construction projects – Funding for jobs now
- Tourism Tax credits support – Growing Alaska’s tourism marketing program
- Outer Continental Shelf Development – Fighting for exploration and development in Alaska’s OCS
- Fishing, Mining, Timber – Addressing low salmons runs and bycatch issues; fighting for Alaska’s mines in the courts; defending the Log jam and Diesel timber sales
- State spending – Setting spending priorities to reflect those in Alaska's Constitution
- Education/Governor’s Performance Scholarship – Transforming Alaska’s education opportunities
- Safe Homes – Alaska’s epidemic of domestic violence and sexual assault must stop
